Lucie graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Parsons School of Design in New York, where she studied with many talented and notable lighting designers in active practices. Upon her return to Michigan, she joined Illuminart where she worked on many residential, resort, commercial, landscape, and specialty projects.
Lucie serves on the Board of the Outdoor Lighting Forum in Petoskey, Michigan, which is connected with the International Dark Sky Association. This position affords opportunities to work with owners, architects, and county planning commissioners. The Board works to eliminate sources of glare and detrimental night lighting and to educate the public about appropriate nighttime illumination in order to preserve the visibility and beauty of the night sky.
Lucie has also taught lighting at the Lawrence Institute of Technology in Southfield, Michigan.
